Romans 8:28

The Amazing Power of Romans 8:28 in Our Lives

A poem to celebrate the God who causes all things to work together for our good (Romans 8:28).

In his beautiful poem "The Weaver," Grant Colfax Tullar eloquently captures the intricate and mysterious ways in which God weaves together the threads of our lives. Just as a weaver skillfully creates a tapestry by intertwining various colors and textures, God is working behind the scenes to bring beauty out of our pain, joy out of our trials, and purpose out of our struggles.

As we reflect on the words of this timeless poem, we are reminded of the comforting truth found in Romans 8:28 – that God causes all things to work together for our good. Even when we can't see the bigger picture or understand the reasons behind our struggles, we can trust that God is at work in our lives, weaving together a masterpiece that will ultimately bring glory to Him.

So let us celebrate the God who is faithful and true, the God who is always working on our behalf, the God who is the ultimate Weaver of our destinies. May we surrender our worries and fears to Him, knowing that He is in control and that His plans for us are far greater than we could ever imagine. Let us take comfort in the fact that even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty, God is weaving a beautiful tapestry of grace, mercy, and love in our lives.

The Weaver by Grant Colfax Tullar

My life is but a weaving
Between my God and me.
I cannot choose the colors
He weaveth steadily.

Oft’ times He weaveth sorrow;
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I the underside.

Not ’til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Will God unroll the canvas
And reveal the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
In the weaver’s skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned

He knows, He loves, He cares;

Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives the very best to those
Who leave the choice to Him
